Hiroko completed the 3000-hour RMT program from Vancouver College of Massage Therapy (formerly known as Utopia Academy) in 2011. She has been loving her job and its challenges since. By incorporating a variety of techniques, she addresses and tailors her treatments to unique needs and comfort level of each client. She believes that massage can play an important role in improving musculoskeletal conditions and facilitating good health. She is passionate about empowering the clients through education and home care to improve and achieve their health goals.
Born + moulded in Japan, and refined in Canada, Hiroko has lived in Jasper, Calgary and finally beautiful Vancouver since moving to Canada. She holds a BA in German (now very rusty) and has passion for travelling, reading and finding good cafes. She is available from Tuesday to Saturday.

Paige Allen, Registered Massage Therapist

Paige has been an island girl all her life, and recently made the big move to Vancouver! With her strong interest in biology and her desire to work in health care, Paige knew Massage Therapy was the perfect career for her. She graduated from the 3000 hour program at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy’s Victoria campus. Her education includes studies in Anatomy and Physiology, Musculoskeletal and Kinetics, Neurology, Craniosacral, Deep tissue, Trigger Point Release, Myofascial Release, and many other modalities. Integration of whole being and utilization of the unique aspects of each modality is how she understands and meets the needs of her clients. Paige cares deeply about her clients and is always humbled by the successful outcomes of her treatments. Her works intention is to create a specialized therapeutic experience for her clients so that they feel educated and empowered.

Tom graduated from Vancouver College of Massage Therapy in 2016.  He has been an avid rugby player for 12 years playing at top club level in BC. His experience in athletics went a long way in his understanding of the body, movement, and injury. He understands how posture and bio-mechanics can affect aches and pains, and there relation to pathology.   Originally from Ducan BC, Tom enjoys staying active with weight training, biking, hiking and snowboarding.Tom incorporates Swedish and Deep Tissue massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, passive and active stretching to provide a balanced and effective treatment for his patients.  Every treatment is catered to the patients pain and postural alignments.

Tom regularly gives home care stretches and strengthening exercises at the end of every treatment for each patient to encourage proper postural position and to change the ergonomics in lifestyle activity.

Carlos Becerra Registered Acupuncturist RMT, RAC, BM

Carlos graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy’s Diploma in Massage Therapy in 2015 and the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Vancouver’s Diploma of Acupuncture in 2009. He is registered with the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia and the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of British Columbia.

He is also a member of the Registered Massage Therapists’ Association of British Columbia, which awarded him with Honourable Mention for his case study about chronic back pain, Swedish massage and myofascial trigger points.

Carlos’ main goal is to help people recover from injury or illness and maintain their bodies in optimal health. He has experience working with a wide variety of clients, including cases of musculoskeletal injuries (sport, work or post-surgical), headaches, migraine, stress, digestive problems and pain.

As a massage therapist he uses a wide range of techniques such as myofascial release, trigger-point therapy, Swedish massage, joint mobilization, prescription of therapeutic exercise and hydrotherapy. In his acupuncture practice his treatments can include acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, oriental massage techniques (shiatsu, acupressure, tuina), cupping and prescription of Tai Chi and Qi Gong exercises.

During his career, Carlos has combined his work as a therapist with his activity as a teacher; since 2010 he has trained students and professionals in the areas of massage and acupuncture in his natal Mexico.

Also in Mexico he completed a Music Bachelor and a certification in Art history in 2002 at the Universidad de las Américas-Puebla. In his spare time he practices yoga and meditation.

Heather graduated from the West Cost College of Massage Therapy in 2010 and returned as a clinical and principal instructor in 2012. She became interested in massage therapy after experiencing its benefits while participating in Olympic distance triathlons and racing paddle sports at a world-class level for many years. Heather’s approach to treatment is individualized and her focus is to work with patients to improve their quality of life and facilitate their return to pain free movement. Heather understands that there are many influences on the body and she creates a Massage Therapy treatment plan that is specific to her patient’s needs and priorities. She draws on her years of experience studying how the body moves, treating various types of injuries, and having worked through many sports-related and chronic overuse injuries herself. Heather’s patients benefit from her positive attitude and she encourages them to be active participants in their recovery. A variety of modalities may be used including Myofascial Release, Joint Mobilizations, Systemic Deep Tissue Therapy, Active Release, Trigger Point Therapy and Swedish Massage. Heather’s patients also value her health-team oriented approach often referring to chiropractors and exercise rehabilitation experts to accelerate their recovery.
