Carlos Becerra Registered Acupuncturist RMT, RAC, BM
Carlos graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy’s Diploma in Massage Therapy in 2015 and the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Vancouver’s Diploma of Acupuncture in 2009. He is registered with the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia and the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of British Columbia.
He is also a member of the Registered Massage Therapists’ Association of British Columbia, which awarded him with Honourable Mention for his case study about chronic back pain, Swedish massage and myofascial trigger points.
Carlos’ main goal is to help people recover from injury or illness and maintain their bodies in optimal health. He has experience working with a wide variety of clients, including cases of musculoskeletal injuries (sport, work or post-surgical), headaches, migraine, stress, digestive problems and pain.
As a massage therapist he uses a wide range of techniques such as myofascial release, trigger-point therapy, Swedish massage, joint mobilization, prescription of therapeutic exercise and hydrotherapy. In his acupuncture practice his treatments can include acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, oriental massage techniques (shiatsu, acupressure, tuina), cupping and prescription of Tai Chi and Qi Gong exercises.
During his career, Carlos has combined his work as a therapist with his activity as a teacher; since 2010 he has trained students and professionals in the areas of massage and acupuncture in his natal Mexico.
Also in Mexico he completed a Music Bachelor and a certification in Art history in 2002 at the Universidad de las Américas-Puebla. In his spare time he practices yoga and meditation.
Scott Spulnick, Registered Massage Therapist
Originally from small town Manitoba, Scott spent his 20’s traveling around the world. After a successful career in hospitality management led to traveling throughout Canada, Scott began a career in health and fitness as a personal trainer in Toronto in 2012. This shift ignited a drive to continue to grow which led to graduating from the 2750 hour RMT program at Vancouver Career College in 2018 with honours as Valadictorian, and will culminate in pursuing an Osteopathic Practitioner designation beginning November ’19.
Very active throughout life in all types of sports, from curling and ultimate frisbee to wakeboarding, basketball and everything between. Scott has an interest in treating sports related conditions as well as overuse and traumatic injuries. With a strong focus on patient education and rehabilitative exercises, “Returning people to their full function and striving to exceed their expectations for themselves is what drives me to learn and grow”.

Leah Von Zuben, Registered Massage Therapist
Leah graduated from the Sutherland Chan School of Massage Therapy in 2017. Leah comes to us with a lot of experience as an RMT and with additional experience in Thai Massage and Yoga. You can expect a calming experience with some assisted stretching and joint mobilizations. Although calming and relaxing Leah can still work deep into your tissues and help you release trigger points, just discuss what your needs are with her! Leah also has a background as a Birth Doula working closely with pregnant clients. She is happy to offer prenatal massage to our community!
Beata Konieczka, Registered Massage Therapist
Beata’s goal is to help facilitate and empower people through massage therapy, body awareness, strengthening exercises, hydrotherapy suggestions and yoga therapy!
Beata’s training is from West Coast College of Massage in 2007, where she completed a one year full-time Spa Practitioner program with emphasis in Shiatsu, Thai Yoga, Aromatherapy, Healing Hydrotherapy, Swedish Massage and Reflexology. She has also completed her teacher training in Prana Yoga with a YTT certificate. Furthermore, Beata has had a wide range of international experience across 5 continents with specialty training in Hawaii that has given her endless inspiration! Beata completed her Registered Massage Therapist program and attended Vancouver College of Massage Therapy in 2017 to further deepen her knowledge and understanding of more the mechanical side of healing.
Beata has studied breathe-training and a secondary yoga teacher training certification in Bali most recently. Beata’s focus now is on a holistic approach to massage, combining deep relaxation with deep tissue and orthopedic style treatments that include stretch and strengthening and self care planning for ongoing maintenance of people’s overall health and lifestyle!
Kate Taylor, Registered Massage Therapist
Having spent most of her youth playing competitive soccer, basketball, and baseball as well as spending all her free time snowboarding, it’s no surprise Kate settled on a career helping people move and feel better in their bodies.
In 2011 Kate graduated at the top of her class from Sutherland Chan School for Massage Therapy in Toronto. Until her recent return home to Vancouver, she split her time between treating clients and teaching manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercise and biomechanics at Sutherland-Chan School.
Kate combines a technical approach to treating musculoskeletal disorders and pain within the framework of a holistic understanding of healing. Her treatments will diminish your pain, get you moving better while at the same time helping you unwind, improve your sleep, and leave you feeling renewed. She incorporates Swedish massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, kinesio taping, and hydrotherapy into her treatments.
Since completing her massage therapy diploma, Kate has pursued certifications in personal training through CanFit Pro and Level 1 Precision Nutrition Coaching. She has completed over 700 hours of training in yoga and meditation. She currently teaches at Modo Yoga Vancouver.
Aurora Allen, Registered Massage Therapist
Born and Raised in Kitsilano, Aurora graduated from Langara’s RMT program in 2019. She is registered with the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia.
