SPORTS CHIROPRACTIC
Sports Chiropractic and Sports Injuries
If you actively or even passively play a sport, you will already know that sports can put additional amounts of stress and strain on your back, neck, arms, legs, hands and feet. It just depends on what your sport of choice is.
That being said, Sports Chiropractic is an ideal solution to help keep your body in top condition before, during, and after your sporting activities. By diagnosing and treating muscle imbalances and other issues that could lead to injuries.

Not only can our Chiropractors help with injuries, they can also help reduce your risk of developing sports related injuries, by treating other conditions that may put you at risk of an injury.
Types of Sports Injuries That Respond Well to Chiropractic Treatment
There are many types of sports related conditions and injuries that respond very well to Chiropractic treatment. Our Chiropractors can offer you relief from the following:
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is a condition caused by the overuse of the forearm that results in compression of the median nerve as it passes to the hand. The repetitive movements when playing golf can contribute to the symptoms of this condition.
Effective Chiropractic Treatments We Can Provide:
- The Graston Technique
- Active Release
- Adjustments of the carpal bones
Plantar Fasciitis
Plantar Fasciitis is a condition that causes a sharp burning pain on the bottom of the foot and heel and leads to adhesions in the fascia. It is usually caused by extended periods on one’s feet, or by overuse of the feet such as occurs while running.
Effective Chiropractic Treatments We Can Provide:
- The Graston Technique
- Active Release
Sciatica
This condition occurs when there is compression of the sciatic nerve as it leaves the spinal column.
The condition causes a searing pain down the back, buttock, and thigh. Sciatica is commonly seen in golfers and tennis players.
Effective Chiropractic Treatments We Can Provide:
- Chiropractic manipulation
Rotator Cuff Injuries
Rotator cuff injuries are particularly complicated because there are five major muscles involved in the movement of the arm. If even one of these muscles is not performing optimally, a rotator cuff injury can
occur. Rotator Cuff injuries commonly occur in sports where there is a lot of lifting of the arms, such as volleyball and basketball.
Effective Chiropractic Treatments We Can Provide:
- Active Release
- Adjustments of the carpal bones
Tendonitis of the Achilles Tendon
Tendonitis of the Achilles Tendon is a type of repetitive strain injury that occurs in the muscles of the lower leg. If the condition isn’t treated quickly, it can lead to adhesions between the Achilles tendon and the tendon sheath. The condition is commonly seen in sports where running and jumping are involved.
