Raised in a small town, Dr. Ryan Takagi is a Chiropractor with a love for learning. He earned his Bachelors of Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia, then went on to complete his Doctor of Chiropractic degree (summa cum laude) at the University of Western States in Portland, OR. He is currently completing a Masters of Science degree in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine.
Dr. Takagi’s passion is working with individuals and communities to expand internal and external health resources. With the help of Chiropractic manipulation, various soft tissue therapies, rehabilitative exercises, nutritional therapies, and education, he works with you to optimize your biomechanics and physiology so that you may reach your full potential in any environment, whether it’s at home, in the workplace, or on the sports field. Dr. Takagi wants to help you lay down the foundations for healthy and happy habits that radiate over the lifespan and through the community.
As a Chiropractor, his speciality is physical health and well-being. His additional training in nutrition and functional medicine allows him to explore physical health within the complex and interacting web of other biological and environmental systems.
His approach includes an in-depth assessment, followed by personalized management options or an appropriate referral.
In his spare time, Dr. Takagi enjoys spending time exploring a new set of running or hiking trails and coaching. He currently has the pleasure of coaching the SFU Rowing Novice Crew.
